FlyBys ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in using Google or Apple authentication, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name (if provided by your OAuth provider)
- Profile photo URL (Google only; Apple does not provide this)
- OAuth provider identifier
Property Data
When you submit properties for analysis, we collect and store:
- Property addresses you submit
- Geocoded coordinates (latitude/longitude)
- Google Place IDs
- AI-generated analysis results (risk assessments, scores, opportunity flags)
- Solar potential data from Google Solar API
Important: No Image Storage
We do not store satellite or street-level imagery. Google Maps imagery is fetched transiently for AI analysis and immediately discarded. Only structured analysis results (text, scores, and JSON data) are persisted. This is required by Google Maps Platform Terms of Service.
Device Information
- Device tokens for push notifications (APNs/FCM)
- Device platform (iOS/Android)
Usage Data
- Report generation counts
- Purchase and credit transaction history
- Last login timestamp
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide property analysis services
- To generate and deliver property reports
- To manage your account and credit balance
- To send push notifications when analysis completes
- To send re-engagement emails (with opt-out)
- To improve our AI analysis accuracy
- To comply with legal obligations
3. AI Processing
Property analysis is performed using Google Gemini AI. When you submit a property for analysis:
- Google Maps imagery is fetched transiently and sent to Google Gemini for analysis
- Google Solar API data is retrieved for solar potential assessment
- Structured results (scores, risk assessments, text descriptions) are stored in our database
- No imagery is retained after analysis completes
AI-generated assessments are informational and should not be relied upon as professional inspections or appraisals.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure:
- Database: Amazon RDS PostgreSQL with encryption at rest
- PDF reports: Amazon S3 with server-side encryption
- Secrets and credentials: AWS Secrets Manager
- Authentication: Amazon Cognito (OAuth tokens)
- All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
5. Service Providers
We use the following third-party services:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Infrastructure, database, authentication, notifications
- Google Maps Platform — Satellite imagery, street view, geocoding, solar data (transient use only)
- Google Gemini AI — Property imagery analysis
- Apple/Google — OAuth authentication, in-app purchases
6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account
- Property reports: Retained until you delete your account
- Purchase records: Retained for 7 years for financial compliance
- Database backups: Retained for 7 days, then automatically deleted
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your property reports
- Opt out of marketing emails
- Withdraw consent at any time

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- Right to know what personal information is collected
- Right to delete personal information
- Right to opt out of the sale of personal information
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. International Data Transfers
Our services are hosted in the United States. If you access our services from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.
10. Children's Privacy
FlyBys is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
11. Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data:
- In-app: Settings > Account > Delete Account
- By email: Send a request to support@flybys.io
- Via web: Visit our account deletion page
Account deletion is processed within 30 days.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
